Every year, the Lincoln City Parent Group holds a silent auction to continue fund raising for the schools. The auction this year is December 2nd at the Lincoln City Cultural Center.

Businesses generously donate items or gift certificates to be auctioned off. Along with those donations, classroom baskets are put together and are always a favorite item at the auction.

How it works is that 2 classrooms combine to make 1 basket. A theme is then picked for the basket like beach day or dog lovers, etc. The students then have a certain amount of time to collect items for the basket. Teachers will hold onto the items in their classroom until the collection deadline.

This year, we ask that the items be turned in by November 16th. This is a fun way to get the kids involved with the auction and be creative.

A parent volunteer will collect the items from the classrooms and create the baskets. The baskets will be auctioned off with funds raised going to the schools. A flyer for students will be sent home at the end of October with more information.
