Students are invited to design a poster that highlights the importance of health, wellness, and the support available through our school health centers.

Each year, Lincoln City Parks and Recreation hosts a Valentine’s Day essay contest for students in kindergarten through 6th grade. This contest gives children the opportunity to write about something they love and submit their essays for a chance to win a prize. Please submit essays to Lincoln City Parks and Recreation by the designated deadline.
Cada año, Lincoln City Parks and Recreation organiza un concurso de ensayos del Día de San Valentín para estudiantes de kínder a sexto grado. UPDATE! Schedule changed to tomorrow JANUARY 9th, 2026:
Taft Elementary’s new music room is still in progress, and construction is moving along quite well.
We wanted to give families a heads-up that tomorrow morning, JANUARY 9th, 2026, around 7:30 a.m., during our usual student drop-off time and our monthly Donuts with Grown-ups, there will be a large delivery truck and crane on site delivering trusses. This may temporarily impact traffic flow on the road in front of the school.
If you are able to avoid the main drop-off area and use the back parking lot, it would be extremely helpful. We will have additional staff on duty to assist and ensure students arrive at school safely.
